Philip and Matthew Johnson attended the 2018 camp. This year both were selected to play for their home county (State) of Yorkshire in the Nick Kehoe International competition, facing national teams from around Europe. Both managed to score and help their team reach the competition Final. This year Philip has been selected to trial for both the England U23 and England Senior squads. Without the excellent coaching received at Cardigan Mountain Lacrosse Camp this would not have been possible.
Thanks for another great year at Cardigan. My son was the recipient of the Bob Hoppey award for his team. We are so proud of him and grateful to Cardigan for the confidence you are instilling in him.

Another fantastic year for my son, our 3rd year...coaches are dedicated to promote true teaching and improvement to develop my son to be a better lax player. Also, excited to see some of the college players coaching this summer jumping in on Quinn's Care Band drive to make more bracelets for donations to her cause. My son asked to donate the remaining money in the camp store because of this and we proudly approved.

This is the second year our son has attended camp. It was nothing short of amazing!!! From registration to pick-up, it was flawless. Our son loved all the coaching, leadership, food, swimming, and lax camaraderie! When asked if he missed us, he said, "NO"...LOL. That's a testament to how comfortable and how safe he felt with all the councilors, staff, and campers. All of you should be proud of the tradition of providing these young people with an experience they'll remember for a lifetime. We'll see you next year.
I just wanted to write you and thank the directors, coaches, and staff for what was truly wonderful experience for my son. He certainly improved his lacrosse skills, but also emerged with greater maturity and a much better sense of himself as he grows into a young adult. What a joy to see.
I will vouch for this camp! Lucas had an absolute blast! He still talks about it 7 months later. He will be going for as long as they will let him. Highly recommend.

Last year we took the jump and had our oldest, Torin, who had just turned 10 attend what was his first sleepover camp. Why? Knowing Bob Low for a number of years and finding comfort in the fact that he was there as well as a number of his friends from lacrosse attending made us feel completely comfortable. Beyond that I saw a very engaged staff, kids living in the moment and not on technology and it reminded me of camp when I grew up. Happy to chat more about it with anyone, but overall a great experience.
Yes, it was lacrosse all day! My son enjoyed this camp and felt it helped improve his skills and knowledge of the game. Highly suggest that you attend this camp!
ALL OF THE COACHES WERE FANTASTIC! Not only did my son learn some valuable things about lacrosse, but more importantly, he picked up some very beneficial life skills that will pay dividends for him in the coming years when he moves on to high school and college. I am so very thankful to the Apels who encouraged me to send my son to this great camp! He is looking forward to attending this camp again next year! I only wish that you had a similar type of a camp for girls, as I would send my daughter!
My wife and I have both noticed a SIGNIFICANT POSITIVE CHANGE in our son’s confidence and overall happiness and we believe it all started at Cardigan Mountain Lax camp.

Thank you for putting together a FIRST CLASS youth lacrosse camp! My 10 year old son insists on returning next year. I could tell before we had completed the check-in that your camp was run and operated in a superior fashion. This was true of the coaching, the organization, the dorm masters and the facilities. I commend you on an excellent job!

WHAT A GREAT CAMP! My son had a good time and learned new, great skills to help him take his game to the next level. Guest speaker Carlos Moleda definitely was inspirational and 'cool' according to my son.

YOUR TRAINER WAS HEROIC! My son has cystic fibrosis and had to take an aerosolized medication in the morning and wear a percussive vest for 20 minutes twice a day. Your trainer helped him get setup for his treatments and went way above and beyond the call of duty.
My son had an AMAZING TIME....talented coaches, inspired presentations and guest speakers. Most importantly, the camp exposed him to a wonderful philosophy about the game of lacrosse which he will stay with him. He can't wait to come back next summer and is planning to bring a few friends from Long Island.
My son has attended your camp the last 2 summers and will be attending again this summer. He absolutely loves it. He recently told me he got a 93 on his science test, but that he had taken the challenge test and could have easily gotten 100 on the regular test. I asked him why he took the challenge test. He replied that one of the college coaches at Cardigan Camp told the boys they needed to work hard in school, to challenge themselves, take the hardest classes. What a lesson! I was happy my son loved your lacrosse camp, now I'm even happier knowing he's taking away a lot more than lacrosse.
We all had a truly fantastic time! The campus was beautiful, the people all friendly and the level of COACHING WAS IMPRESSIVE. From the moment we arrived until the end, we felt welcomed. I improved vastly as a lacrosse player, but also learned other lessons (mostly about American culture and spirit!) off the pitch, and made some great friendships.You run a great camp, and we will be recommending it to other English lacrosse players.
