Cardigan Mountain Lacrosse Camp

top camp for 32 years

Top New England Lacrosse Camp for 33 years!

SORRY, WE'RE SOLD OUT.
Please consider Cardigan next year, and sign up early.

Since 1978, we have been considered the top lacrosse camp in New England. We offer 2 sessions a year, and accept only 220 campers per session, which we feel insures the personal, high quality attention to all campers that creates an ideal learning environment. We attract players from all lacrosse regions and offer all campers an incomparable opportunity, whether you are a beginner or established player.

Outstanding Lacrosse Coaches!

Selected for their fine reputations and their ability to work with young players, our coaches teach at all levels of play. We provide a balance of experienced, senior staff members and enthusiastic college grads. Their credentials are outstanding: All-Americans, Hall of Famers, Coaches of the Year, All World players, and professional box players!

Emphasis on Sportsmanship & Citizenship

Cardigan Mountain Lacrosse Camp is unique in many ways, but perhaps its signature distinction is the commitment to impart lessons beyond the game of lacrosse. We want players to understand they have responsibilities as sportsmen and as role models for their peers and younger students. Tolerance and respect for others is emphasized during the camp session. In keeping with the heritage of lacrosse as played by many Native American nations, we want Cardigan campers to honor the game, their teammates, and their opponents.

This Camp has enjoyed a close association with World T.E.A.M. Sports (WTS), the non-profit organization dedicated to bringing together disabled and able-bodied athletes to accomplish great, even outrageous, feats. Past athlete-speakers have included Hall of Fame swimmer and renowned TV journalist Diana Nyad; hand-cyclist extraordinaire Rory McCarthy; renowned speaker and former Boston U. hockey player, Travis Roy; and, in 2008, former Navy SEAL and Ironman triathlete Carlos Moleda. Campers will again meet and hear the compelling words of one of these remarkable people.”

The International Lacrosse Connection

We have had players attend Camp from Manchester, England, with Coach Rick Summers, and from Hamburg, Germany, with Coach Ken Galluccio. This program will continue to grow, as it is an enriching experience for coaches and players alike.

Improve your game and have fun!

Our objective is to ensure our campers have fun while learning and improving their game. Players are assigned to a team in one of three divisions, based on age, size and level of skill. A round-robin tournament is played in each division, with emphasis on instruction. Our coaches are committed to placing players properly and giving each camper individual attention. All players receive a written personal evaluation at the end of camp.

Top-notch lacrosse instruction

All phases of the game will be covered, with emphasis on offensive and defensive fundamentals, shooting, dodging, ground balls, cutting, one-on-one play, stickwork, and face-offs. We also cover offensive and defensive team concepts, fast breaks, riding and clearing. Goalies are provided extra instruction; individual critiques are offered after each game to improve personal performance.
